Where To Find Ralph Ostrowski In GTA 5 Location Guide

Tracking down bail bond targets in Grand Theft Auto 5 is a lucrative pastime for players exploring Blaine County as Trevor Philips. The first fugitive Maude Eccles assigns to Trevor is Ralph Ostrowski, a white-collar criminal hiding out in the desert. Locating his precise hiding spot requires navigating a massive industrial site, but apprehending him alive ensures the maximum possible payout.

Exact Location of Ralph Ostrowski

Ralph Ostrowski is hiding deep inside the Davis Quartz quarry, located directly southeast of Sandy Shores. To reach this area, players should drive east along Route 68 or south from Sandy Shores toward the industrial tracks. Once arriving at the edge of the quarry, descend into the main pit until reaching the very bottom level.

When approaching the lowest section of the quarry, look for a group of parked vehicles near industrial machinery. Ralph stands near his white Landstalker SUV, though he will immediately attempt to flee upon spotting Trevor. Keeping an eye on the radar allows players to identify his location instantly when the red target icon appears.

Strategies for Capturing Ralph Ostrowski Alive

Bringing Ralph back alive pays a generous $10,000 bounty compared to the reduced $5,000 reward if he is killed. To prevent him from speeding away, players can use a sniper rifle to shoot out the tires of his Landstalker SUV before approaching. Alternatively, blocking the exit ramp with Trevor's truck leaves Ralph with no easy escape route.

Once Ralph exits his vehicle, he can be subdued using non-lethal weapons like the Stun Gun or a controlled pistol shot to the leg. After sustaining a minor injury or shock, Ralph surrenders completely and willingly follows Trevor. Players must then escort him into a vehicle and drive back to Maude's trailer in Grapeseed to collect the full reward.

Unlocking and Starting the Mission

Accessing the bail bond missions requires players to complete the main story mission Mr. Philips first. Afterward, Trevor must visit Maude's trailer in Grapeseed to initiate the side quest thread. Shortly after leaving her location, Maude sends an email containing details and a photograph regarding Ralph Ostrowski's location.

Delivering Ralph alive also counts toward earning the Wanted: Alive Or Alive achievement or trophy on modern platforms. Mastering this initial fugitive hunt sets a clear blueprint for the remaining three bounty targets assigned by Maude. Taking a tactical, non-lethal approach guarantees high rewards and steady completion progress throughout Trevor's side adventures.
